"Raise a Leader" Texas 4-H Promotional Campain

"In 4-H I learned to walk alongside, lead others, and be led by others. Sometimes kids today don’t get that at home with mom and dad both working, whether they live in the country or in the city. 4-H will give them a chance to go to a meeting and learn how to communicate, learn how to hone their work skills. It gives them a chance to work as a team and succeed; even if it’s just the slightest success, it makes a difference."

"The little ones get the best start, because we have a chance to get in their hearts and their minds, and help bring them up. In 4-H the parents can come. We can put families back together. That’s what America’s losing today. Everybody’s going so fast and they’re getting nowhere in a hurry. 4-H can unify all of that. It changes lives—not just the lives of the kids in our programs, but everyone touched by 4-H."

For over a hundred years, 4-H has been one of the premiere youth organizations in America, with a proven success rate of developing leaders in Texas. We are proud to announce that our new marketing effort to increase awareness of the benefits of 4-H to families is in the works.

In the first phase of our campaign, we have created four, thirty second public service announcements featuring 4-H Foundation board member, Bob Tallman. As you will see, Bob sends a powerful message to parents about the diverse and multi-purpose programs in our organization. These television spots are designed to deliver two important ideas:
  • 4-H builds leaders and offers parents ideas and support in raising their children to take leadership roles and work positively in groups to accomplish goals.
  • 4-H is not just a place to drop your child off for extra-curricular activities, but an organization for the entire family that enhances education and well being.

Contact the 4-H Foundation office for more information about our campaign at 979-845-1213, or e-mail to texas4hfoundation@ag.tamu.edu.

Our office will be able to provide you beta ready videos for television as well as audio clips to promote our campaign via your local radio stations.

We hope you will help us to introduce parents and children all over Texas to the many benefits and the tremendous personal growth potential that membership in 4-H brings to families.
