To All Members, Alumni, Family, and Friends of Texas 4-H,

The discounted tickets are on sale now for first ever Texas 4-H “GREEN OUT” event to kick off the 2010-2011 4-H year with Major League Baseball’s club the Texas Rangers vs. Athletics on August 28, 2010, at the Ballpark in Arlington. There is a Pre-Game Concert by MercyMe, presented by I Am Second. This will be a fun-filled day of family, friends, and fellowship for all to enjoy.

Every ticket holder will receive a FREE one-of-a-kind GREEN OUT t-shirt with the Rangers and 4-H logo (To receive your green out t-shirts, tickets must be purchased by August 13, 2010). The first 8,500 Texas Rangers fans will also receive a red Rangers T-shirt. Every County and 4-H club has the opportunity to sell GREEN OUT tickets as a fundraiser for their County 4-H program. Prizes will be awarded for the member, club and county 4-H that sales the most tickets. The Texas Rangers organization has been gracious enough to not only give us a discounted ticket rate, but are giving $3 back for every ticket purchased to the County 4-H program that sells tickets. The more tickets you sell, the more money you can make for your County 4-H! Check with you County 4-H Agent to get ticket order form or visit the Texas 4-H website at www.texas4hfoundation.org to download the information.

Club Incentive Information
For each ticket sold, the Texas Rangers organization will donate $3.00 to the Texas 4-H Foundation. The Texas 4-H Foundation will be provided with a spreadsheet from the Texas Rangers organization listing how many tickets were sold by each county and 4-H Club. The Texas 4-H Foundation will then write a check direct to the county to be used locally.

There is a 5% administrative fee assessed by the Texas 4-H Foundation, however each county will still be earning $2.85 for every ticket sold.

The more tickets you sell, the more money the county will earn. We are excited about this fundraising opportunity and look forward to more of these types of opportunities being provided through the Foundation to provide counties the opportunity to raise funds for local support.

See "sales incentives" flyer for incentives being offered by the Texas Rangers for the top sellers.
